I’ve started thinking — a lot — about the new baby’s nursery. Thing is, we don’t actually have a nursery for him/her. Still need to find the house that extra room is in. a penny rug
Inspired by all the trips to the "country" lately and the stops at antique/gift shops and amazing quilt shops have had me inspired by cross stitch and penny rugs and folk art kits. We’re just back from being away for the weekend. Iowa this time. It was beautiful, too bad we were too harried to take any decent photos. Things have been really hectic around here for Tim and I lately and I’m not handling it well. Busy is not our thing. We need boredom. I’ve started on my quest to cover the apartment in doll quilts. Tiny tiny squares. Well ok 2" isn’t that tiny but tiny enough for me. I can’t decide if they want to be arranged symmetrically or just jumbled up. I’m thinking the latter. And maybe whipstitching them together instead of sewing them in the machine. You’d think it was the dead of Winter around here the way Oscar is nuts for covers lately. He can’t be sitting on the sofa unless he’s under a pile of covers with all his books and toys jammed under there with him. And the piling!
