monday

ever notice how the things you put up for inspiration just become background and you don’t even notice them?

I’ve put up a new header. it’s more sparse than usual. I thought it’d be fun to fill it in as inspiration hits. hear me inspiration? I’m waiting for you. I’m drawing a big target right over my craft room.

Rainbow pushpins from the Science and Surplus. People are crazy for this place. It's mostly crap and I'm sorta over it but still I can never seem to walk out empty handed (that last link freaks me out. Oscar's so tiny! and the photos with our old camera, yikes. Not that I do that much better with the fancy one.)

It's still gloomy out and I'm still craving brights. Today's color therapy: looking back through the photos of the Poland tree from the Trees Around the World exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry and also at all the Polish Paper Chandeliers that were floating around in blogland in the Fall. So pretty!

The very last thing I should be spending my money on is more fabric but I couldn't help myself, Ed Emberley! (bought from feltcafe) I've already thought of an idea for a project though so that makes me feel better. A new pillowcase for Oscar's bed. I've got another project in mind for his bed. And Phoebe's too. I'm hoping there will be some quilting in my near future.

it's a good game for catching up on blogs. I edited my bloglines down to just 50 blogs and it is so liberating. totally manageable. I can actually read them. it's lovely. I highly recommend it. but only if w.w. makes the cut of course. maybe 51.
