I just discovered that sewing patterns for My Friend Mandy‘s outfits fit Louise! Well, at least the coat does. The hat is a little tight, might make her a more Louise-shaped one. I think Mandy and Jenny will need winter coats as well.

My Book
A captivating gang of 24 huggable, lovable creatures to sew—from classics like Margot, a topsy-turvy doll, and the button-jointed teddy bear Bjorn Bjornson, to irresistible Evelyn, a wool felt inchworm decked out in mod glasses and a kerchief, and Koji, a fiercely cute spiked softie monster. There’s something for everyone here—from kids to grown-ups and from beginning sewers to advanced dollmakers. Published by STC Craft, August, 2010.
oooo love the coat and mini uggs 🙂
Hilary, you always make lovely things, Pheobe is a lucky little girl. x
Oh! The tiny boots. I died a little inside. Why is it I don’t like the real ones but the doll sized ones are incredible?
I discovered this blog two days ago and disappointingly have blown through all the archives since. Shoulda saved ’em up 🙁
That’s just darling! Really, really nice job. You’re so good! How did you get started making toys? Or should I just re-read your FAQs? 🙂
This cutie makes me smile!
she looks so cute & cozy! oh, and that stitchette quilt backdrop is darling!
That is funny, I totally still have my Mandy and Jenny dolls plus the clothing. We just got them out for my daughter to play with and I was looking at all the clothes my mom made for them. I will have to call her and see if she still has any patterns.
I wish I could be as stylish as Louise!
I love, love, love this outfit, right down to the little boots!
(and My Friend Mandy was my absolute favorite doll growing up!)
ooh, I forsee me digging out my “My Friend” patterns
