My Book
A captivating gang of 24 huggable, lovable creatures to sew—from classics like Margot, a topsy-turvy doll, and the button-jointed teddy bear Bjorn Bjornson, to irresistible Evelyn, a wool felt inchworm decked out in mod glasses and a kerchief, and Koji, a fiercely cute spiked softie monster. There’s something for everyone here—from kids to grown-ups and from beginning sewers to advanced dollmakers. Published by STC Craft, August, 2010.
Looks like fun! Next year, I want to find a place that sells kits for making those old school sequin and pin ornaments that were popular in the 70s. My nanny made some for us and I love them.
What a wonderful Christmas memory. We made poodles useing balls covered in gold and red silk back in the 70’s with my Mom. We gave them sequin eyes, pom pon cheeks and pearl bead noses. We lost them all when the basement flooded. What a fun time we had making those with Mom.
My daughter came home from school yesterday with a Christmas ornament she made in class. THIS is what they did! It is such a cool idea and it turned out so pretty. They also used little beads, which my daughter ended up using to write “2011” on hers. I love it.

These are handed down from my Grandma who made them in the 70s. I’ve been looking on ebay for the kits too
Nice Christmas decorations.
Have a great Christmastime.
