Phoebe does not walk anywhere. She skips or dances or leaps. I envy her energy. I'm willing myself to get up from my coffee and do some Spring clean up in the yard. Maybe if I skip out of here. Maybe the skipping creates the energy, not the other way around?

My Book
A captivating gang of 24 huggable, lovable creatures to sew—from classics like Margot, a topsy-turvy doll, and the button-jointed teddy bear Bjorn Bjornson, to irresistible Evelyn, a wool felt inchworm decked out in mod glasses and a kerchief, and Koji, a fiercely cute spiked softie monster. There’s something for everyone here—from kids to grown-ups and from beginning sewers to advanced dollmakers. Published by STC Craft, August, 2010.
My middle child has the same boundless energy… she not only carries herself along with skipping/dancing – but accompanies that with song!
This image has such a 70’s vibe to it, I LOVE it!
That is such a cute photo!
Ah yes, I know that energy well. My daughter gallops everywhere, like a horse!
Great capture.
She must be a very happy soul! Wouldnt it be nice to have all that energy.
She looks like an illustration from a book about happy children!
I know – my girl is the same! One day I’m going to figure out a way to siphon some of that energy off and give it to myself!
Oh, dare I drop some science?! She is probably hitting an age/height when it is energetically better to skip/jump/dance than walk! It’s crazy, but true – for a very brief moment in our lives, skipping is the most efficient way to get around. The wonders of childhood!
