Are you guys sewing for the kiddos this week? It's Meg's Spring 2012 KCWC and I'm trying to keep up! I've got a nutto week so I'm trying to sew as much as I can today and then stretch it out over the week on the blog. Sadly I spent all morning on one dang pair of shortie shorts. But I finally figured those out and I think I've got maybe a few tops left in me. Last night I made this seersucker skirt from Dana Made It. That was the one thing on my list that I definitely wanted to get done. Look how cute it turned out! And so easy. Dana's instructions were awesome. My skirt is same size she was making 4-5 and I just followed the measurements for the strips and then was able to follow the pictures. I like not having to read anything!

My Book
A captivating gang of 24 huggable, lovable creatures to sew—from classics like Margot, a topsy-turvy doll, and the button-jointed teddy bear Bjorn Bjornson, to irresistible Evelyn, a wool felt inchworm decked out in mod glasses and a kerchief, and Koji, a fiercely cute spiked softie monster. There’s something for everyone here—from kids to grown-ups and from beginning sewers to advanced dollmakers. Published by STC Craft, August, 2010.
Cute! It’s great when the pattern is the same size, and you don’t have to alter anything! 🙂
Love it!
