Oscar and I had so much fun making these ornaments for gifts and for our tree. Oscar loved picking the trims and using the hot glue gun. I love how vintage glitz they are.

My Book
A captivating gang of 24 huggable, lovable creatures to sew—from classics like Margot, a topsy-turvy doll, and the button-jointed teddy bear Bjorn Bjornson, to irresistible Evelyn, a wool felt inchworm decked out in mod glasses and a kerchief, and Koji, a fiercely cute spiked softie monster. There’s something for everyone here—from kids to grown-ups and from beginning sewers to advanced dollmakers. Published by STC Craft, August, 2010.
Hillary, I want to know where you have stashed the extra hours you seem to be able to find in each day, and can I buy some?? Maybe you could sell them in the shop? I’m off to the fabric store to buy the supplies to put together a Clara and the Nutcracker “kit” for my daughter for Christmas. What fun we’ll have putting her together. You don’t mind if I call you Christmas day to ask for your help? 😉
A very nice idea, I will try to remember for next year.
I think this might be one of my favoritest things you have ever posted. So cute!
Oh no! Actually too wonderful!
LOVE these ornaments! Where do you find all those perfectly cute trimmings? My local craft shops do not have anything nearly as good. I’m saving this project, definitely going to make some bells for the tree next year.
They are really beautiful !!! You did a great job !!! … ^__^
So lovely! I especially enjoy reading about the inspiration for each ornament. They’re all so different and all so much fun!
THANK YOU!!! This came at the perfect time – I needed a quick, easy, materials-on-hand craft for my kids to make for family members today. This was IT! Thanks again and happy holidays! They had a blast. 🙂
Let me get this right. You have a vintage book called Christmas Tree Crafts. !?!! I would expect nothing less of you than a handful of decorated and glittery bells.
What was that you were saying about handmade holidays being a washout for you last year? You are on such a roll now that all I can do is watch you zoom by in all your glue gun glory. Have a merry Christmas!
So fun. 🙂 That book looks like a real treasure.
these are so fun!
i covet this book – can you show more projects from it please pretty please?
merry christmas hillary – thanks for all the continuous joy and inspiration! xo
Beautiful!
Merry Chrsitmas!
The bells are really outstanding. I think I must make some of these for next year.
