Melanie posted some of the other possible covers for our book over on the STC blog. Super fun! I don’t think I’d even seen some of those. This blue one is cute! We were rooting for the one with the girl but I do love the one they chose. Really with Jen Gotch‘s gorgeous photos it’d be impossible to go wrong.

My Book
A captivating gang of 24 huggable, lovable creatures to sewโfrom classics like Margot, a topsy-turvy doll, and the button-jointed teddy bear Bjorn Bjornson, to irresistible Evelyn, a wool felt inchworm decked out in mod glasses and a kerchief, and Koji, a fiercely cute spiked softie monster. Thereโs something for everyone hereโfrom kids to grown-ups and from beginning sewers to advanced dollmakers. Published by STC Craft, August, 2010.
Hillary, I got “Wee Wonderfuls” last week and I love, love, love it! Last year I bought the Kit, Chloe and Louise pattern at your online shop, liked it enormously, and so couldn’t wait for your book to be released. Sufficient to say that it didn’t disappoint. ๐ I think the first project I will try out is Wes (in curduroy).
que maravilla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So cute – we got your book the other day in the mail – it is SO cute…my daughter and I oohed and ahhed over all the pages!
Hello Hilary,
I would like to post a link to your book on my tiny blog. I want to do it right and thought I would ask. Should I link directly to your page? Is it customary to ask first?
Thanks!
Lynn
So just wondering….were there originally going to be 25 projects? Dare I dream that you might save the 25th for another book? ๐
thank you! ๐ yay for wes! love him. let me know how it goes!
oh thanks Amber! ๐
hi lynn, no, you don’t need to ask just to link. people like you to ask if you’re using their photos. thanks ๐
yes, 25 ๐ I was wondering if anyone would catch that. there wasn’t even room to squeeze them all in. Not sure what I’ll do with the last pattern. It’s a little out of the scope of the rest of the book.. sort of a stuffed animal/blanket. I love it though!
Congrats, gorgeous book!
That cover just makes me want to jump in and start sewing.
I’ve finished Wes and he’s a little charmer: http://sandyschatterblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/corduroy-wes.html
And for the next project, I’ll take better care when tracing the pattern … ๐
ooh, he’s sweet! as is your cutie kitty ๐
We just saw the new book at the purl bee. It looks amazing, congratulations!

waow ! so lovely models !
seems to be such a great book.
ps : i love and prefer that cover !
I FINALLY got my copy of your book and I LOVE it. My littlest was so captivated by the pictures that she thought it was a bedtime story and was confused when I explained that it was a book to make dollies, not a story about them.
