I don’t know what happened to us this Summer. We had really kicked it into healthy gear around here last Spring and I thought we’d for sure be able to keep it up all Summer… lots of fresh veggies, eating right out of our garden, lots of home cooking but instead we were super slackers. Our garden was kind of a flop. We got really lazy with cooking. We’re totally back on the chocolate. We need to get this train back on track! I suggested to Tim maybe we need an all liquid diet, like Gwyneth’s, when we’re too lazy to cook. He wasn’t too excited about it. Maybe we’ll just stop buying sweets.

My Book
A captivating gang of 24 huggable, lovable creatures to sew—from classics like Margot, a topsy-turvy doll, and the button-jointed teddy bear Bjorn Bjornson, to irresistible Evelyn, a wool felt inchworm decked out in mod glasses and a kerchief, and Koji, a fiercely cute spiked softie monster. There’s something for everyone here—from kids to grown-ups and from beginning sewers to advanced dollmakers. Published by STC Craft, August, 2010.
eat all the sweets you want if it results in dolls that beautiful.
I can totally relate. We started out the summer so healthy and I now can’t believe the degree of sweets we eat. Not to mention the soda! Keep us updated because eating healthy is easier if you do it as a group.
Your doll is gorgeous!!! Is she going to be a pattern? I need a “back to school” pick me up.
your lollies are as cute as your doll. i had a look at your book, and i love all ALL of the dolls! i should really learn to sew.
I really like the fun loopy hair on this doll. I’m still waiting for your book, but I printed out the Mermaiden pattern to tide me over and plan to start her tonight.
Whenever I get lazy about cooking, I go to the freezer – our go-to lazy healthy dinner (for two) is a can of beans with a few different frozen veggies cooked in the microwave. Cascadian Farms is my favorite frozen veggie brand – organic and delicious. I highly recommend the green beans with almonds – super easy and really great. Good luck!
It is so hard to kick the sugar habit. We’ve replaced almost all of our unhealthy snacking with things like homemade banana bread and homemade smoothies, and we definitely have a trip to the apple orchard in our future.
No air-condition plus hot summer is always our downfall. I think we eat best in the Spring and Winter
So lovely dolls!!!!!
LOVE THE DOLL…especially the loopy hair. Would you be willing to show us the technique? (please, please, please!) 🙂
Ps. I can’t get enough of your book! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve flipped through the pages. Even if I’m not in the mood for a project I get so much satisfaction from exploring your work!
Dang, I didn’t mean to enter my email there. 🙁 I guess I wasn’t paying attention.
I love your dolls!! I don’t know how to sew I wish I could buy some ready made 😛
Is it really hard to learn? I want to give it a try I love that loopy hair!!! 🙂
Oh my gosh that hair! I mean, holey moley she’s adorable. That hair! Love it to pieces!
Ok that doll is just WAY too cute! Do you have a pattern for her? I am buying your book as soon as possible, is she in there? I just bought the Kit, Louise and Chloe patterns and plan to make my girls each one for Christmas! Hopefully I can find the time……
hi brenda, no, sorry we don’t have a pattern for that doll. she’s very similar to the elise/elsa elf pattern that’s in the shop.
Sweet!!!!
