My Book
A captivating gang of 24 huggable, lovable creatures to sew—from classics like Margot, a topsy-turvy doll, and the button-jointed teddy bear Bjorn Bjornson, to irresistible Evelyn, a wool felt inchworm decked out in mod glasses and a kerchief, and Koji, a fiercely cute spiked softie monster. There’s something for everyone here—from kids to grown-ups and from beginning sewers to advanced dollmakers. Published by STC Craft, August, 2010.
Having dones the same thig this morning- this picture is THE funniest think I’ve seen in a LONG- LONG time. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
…and next time I’ll not post with my phone…sorry for the typeos!!
When I read the title post I felt a pang in my heart; then I clicked through, saw the photo and busted up laughing. What a classic photo to remember this special day!
Happy and tragic (and hilarious). It is a study in contrasts, really.
That’s an awesome pouty face!
Oh, this is the best first-day photo EVER. So cute!
Oh man, that is so funny (and adorable)!
OMG LOVE it!! thanks for posting it 🙂
that is so funny. That pout is so severe.
Thanks for sharing.
Aw, my heart goes out to her. I just can’t get to the “that’s so funny” point because there are some strong feelings showing on that sweet little face.
Hoping there was a really big smile at the end of the schoolday :).
Oh, poor Phoebe! She’ll soon realize that there are perks in getting “left behind.”
Classic. Love it!
This defines the old phrase “A picture is worth a thousand words”.
Aww, poor little sweetheart!
Oh man. I have been in Phoebe’s shoes. Eleven years from now she is going to have a very similar look…when Oscar goes off to college and leaves her at home. Such an awesome moment to have captured.
This is precious!
awesome.
so so precious! (and heartbreaking.) I’m sure we’ll have something similar tomorrow when my eldest goes to kindergarten and leaves her little sis behind…
Awww, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry!
This photo is classic!
oh, no. that is how it going to be in our house in about a week.
Priceless! I love Phoebe’s expression 🙂
that’s wonderful and hilarious! 🙂
awwwwwwwwwwwwwww her face!!!!! that speaks VOLUMES. and wow…her hair is looking lighter!!! both of them are SOOOOOO SO cute!!!
Poor little munchkin!
awe, gone but not lost forever 😉 I don’t know what our little man is going to do when WE go back to work soon! Being both teachers, we are his playmates all summer!
Aww…Poor Phoebe. (I did laugh out loud though. Great photo)
That is HILARIOUS!
Oh, this looks like the photo of every couple of siblings throughout history. This picture is worth a thousand words. Precious.
Love the caption… befitting!!! Laughed out loud!
Is she more upset about her brother leaving or about not being able to go to school too?
Awwwww : ( Poor sweetie. That’ll be the theme with my kiddos on our doorstep on Tuesday!
oh yes! she’s fine. who knows what was bothering her the most. probably the fact that I was trying to take her picture! but there is a fair amount of pouting without big brother. she’s anxious for her school to start up too. soon!
LOL! What a GREAT picture. Looks like she’s gonna miss her brother~ very cute 🙂
Oh my, someone’s not very happy.
This is so cute. She’s sporting the same look I had on my daughter’s first day of school. I wore the sad face when she had no problem leaving me to explore her new surroundings! Lol.
Oh that is too cute. My two year old did the same thing this year when her brother started first grade. The first day of school she was running all over the house looking for her backpack.
