Susannah, such a cute name! But can you say it without singing Oh Susannah? Try it. I can’t. And can you write about her without saying something cheesy like…Don’t you cry for her, she’s having a lovely day in the park!
She’s enjoying her new mail treats. A cute sketch book with matching pencil (awesome!) from Alison & Nicole and a new Milly Molly Mandy book (woohoo!) from Sarah
i love what your doing and i dont really notice that your doing the same thing. i cant imagine what something differant would be…i would like to see, but on the other hand, if its not broken dont fix it!!! lol
This. Is. Adorable. I’m usually not partial to yellow-haired dolls myself (although I’m a lifelong Barbie fan) but this doll is completely sweet. The only thing I would change would be to add a friend b/c she looks like she would be a friendly type of doll (either to another doll or a pair of little hands).
lol! as soon as i saw the name in the title i started singing. ๐
i was singing in bloglines… she is pretty cute, i love her bigger feet and sit-on butt. i am still so in awe of your yarn hair. i stare and stare at the pictures but i just cant figure it out.
She reminds me of my daughter ๐
I love her! And, as usual, your photos, especially the tree-climbing shot!
I love her! I especially like the photo of her in the tree.
Oh-she is so great!! Would you consider offering a pattern for her?? Please, please, please!!!
Susannah looks like she had a lovely time at the park. She’s adorable!
I agree with everybody else, she is beautiful!
She is ADORABLE!!!
How do you do her hair?
I can’t for the life of me figure it out ๐
That tree shot is the best- she’s hugging the tree like it’s her bestest friend in the world! FABULOUS!!
They’re the most gorgeous photos!
so glad the little parcel arrived safely ๐ oh susannah is gorgeous…
She’s lovely. I want one!!! You have the most adorable photographic setups.
Oh and for what it’s worth…not a week goes by that soemone doesn’t sing that to me *sigh*
milly molly mandy books are teh BEST! We discovered them in New Zealand. Sussannah is one lucky girl.
She is so, so cute. I love her little blanket, that fabric is great! And the pictures, as usual, are brilliant.
I’m in the middle of making a rag doll, hope mines as sweet as yours.
I love the fabrics you pick out for your dolls’ clothes!! So awesome!!
So sweet, of course. My friend is named Suzanna. At some point, everyone sings that song to her. She says everyone gets to do it once. ONCE. ๐ Congrats on the cuteness.
Oh Susannah, won’t you trade lives with me? I don’t come from Alabama but I’d love to sit up in a tree!
Looove her!
i love her!!
(and by the way, susanna is the name of my sister and your susannah really resembles my sister when she was younger)
I love her hair! So nice!
so cute
I love, love, love your site and your dolls and embroidery. In fact, I am going to have my Mom teach me how to embroider so I can grow up and be like you!!! I don’t know how to sew….which leads me to ask, do you ever sell your dolls? I live in Downers Grove, IL….Do you live in the Chicago area? just curious…..Thanks for sharing all your wonderful stuff and your estate sale finds! Love looking at everything…makes me giddy!
she’s adorable! And thanks, guess what song will be stuck in my head all day….?! ๐
Sweet!
susannah is awesome. And I absolutely love the narratives of how you present your creations. Susannah looks like she’s having such a good time.
Also love the new (store and post) graphics on your site. They are absolutely fantastic.
My beautiful daughter’s name is Susannah. Susannahs are very special people! When she was little she frequently wore her hair just like this.
Susannah is quite a doll!
SHE IS LOVELY!!!!!
she is so very very sweet! I love her-and the shoes are 100% pure genius!
TOO adorable!
I love even more the pictures you take with your projects…another thing to put on my to-do list!
I love Susannah. I have this strange feeling that I had a doll very similar to her when I was younger, but it would take a lot of digging in dusty bags full of toys to find her.
Like someone else mentioned, the hair on your dolls is fantastic. Love it!
She’s adorable!! I love her! Great work! I am as always in awe by you and your designs / work.
That is so cute you have a Downers Grove fan!
As always, you make me weep with your genius.
And you will need to have a girl for your next baby. Have your husband take lots of hot baths. Worked for us!
Susannah is adorable! What a great climber!
I love her! Susannah, you are just too cute! ๐
I also love Milly Molly Mandy.. I didn’t know there was more than one! I’m going to have to find that!
May I add myself to the burgeoning roster of the Wee Wonderfuls Fan Club, Downers Grove Chapter? We should have monthly meetings and sew-alongs! (Put-together-alongs?)
Susannah is such a cutie. And she looks like she has a nice disposition, too.

ยกcon orgullo Downers Grove!
I just absolutely love your dolls. Who cares if they are the same when they are so cute anyway. By the way your bears are just so cute. I love looking at the stuff that you make. I am not so good with making toys, but is obviously your specialty. Cannot wait to see what the new doll will look like, and I am sure the mummy of twins will absolutely love those bears.
ohhhhh ok! seriously! that second picture is JUST soooo perfect for a card! ๐ hint hint hint :))
shes perfect!
So the package did arrive! I was wondering whether it had got to you ๐
I hope she doodles away as she daydreams in the park….
Honey, my bullcrap email program is not working again. Will hope for tomorrow and write soon. xo a

She is adorable!
Susannah is very cute. Love the fabrics you chose for her dress.
So excited about receiving your pattern book!
she’s the cutest! i think it’s great that she looks like your other dolls–that’s what makes us know she’s “a hillary”! you have a very distinct style.
xx, maggie
Hi, just received your pattern book and have made a bunny and kitty. I have not been this inspired to sew again since my son passed away ten yrs. ago. Now I am itching to sew stuff dolls and animals for my new granddaughter (and I thought I would never have a family again. Will you be making a pattern for the doll Susannah? I would love to purchase one and can’t wait for the embroidery designs. I tried to order patterns, but already sold out. Thank you again for bringing my creative juices back to life. Have a beautiful day. Sincerely, K. Carter
Ok, I know that you first posted this, like a year ago, and you just had a new baby…but please will you do a pattern for Miss Susannah?? I love her yarn hair!!!!
